Wow, it was so hard leaving Thailand and getting back to Korea. As I'm sure you know, I absolutely loved Thailand. It was 95 degrees and gorgeous. Getting off the plane in Seoul, where it's been -10 degrees Celcius (still haven't learned the conversion) was a huge shock to the system! Although here, it felt more like the Christmas holiday with the cold weather and decorations. We settled back into things quickly and had a few days to rest before Si had to be back at work.
For New Years Eve we decided to take it easy and go to our favorite local hangout, Dublins. A lot of our friends were there as well, so it was low key but fun. They put up a huge projection screen to show down town Seoul, which looked at packed as Times Square! They did the whole countdown thing and we rang in the New Year with friends. If we would have known how big New Years Eve would have been in Seoul, we would have tried to make it there, but we were still tired from our trip and had a good time regardless.
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and I miss you all!
